16.0 Call To Order/Review of Agenda
16.1 Review of Past Events
16.1.1: Trivia #1
- couldn’t start right at 7 because of brass tapps table issue. Ensure tables are
reserved for next time?
-Facebook group is helpful.
- Rounds were really good, not too hard or too easy!
- Nachos came out great.
16.2 Events
16.2.2: Arts Week Event - Monday, February 10th
- SRM Submitted and APPROVED
-ADVERTISE! Make group and poster!
-Submitted chq to the AC for Natalie the Zumba the instructor in room 300, 5:306:30, please email organizer at the UC for the receipt $45
- Planning form, Budget proposal. $100
- planning around $20 bags
16.2.3: Course Selection Event/Sibs Event
-plan to meet up soon!
- SRM due on February 10th
- Colour wars?
16.2.4: Trivia #2 - Booked for March 4th
-ADVERTISE
16.2.5: Grad Bash
- Committee, schedule a meeting
- Rosie please add the two other committee members on facebook/to the group
- Veroinka is going to schedule an online meeting on google doc.

16.2.6: Sofie's Event Idea
- Proposed date: Tuesday, March 25th at 5:30.
- Sofie will visit some of the ASCI classes in early March to encourage students
to attend.
-wait on specifics for organizing to see what our budget is like in terms of food
and door prizes.
16.3 Initiatives
16.3.1: BAS Awareness
- Meeting update
- The university can’t endorse our initiatives/ promotion about ASCI because they
need to treat any degree with equality, unless we are below our quota, but we are
way above our quota (in Ontario), they make ties with High Schools outside of
Ontario, but that has to be established in order to send students there.
- The people who make presentations to High Schools are supposed to make 1min
speeches about each program, so if they don’t, well we can’t change it.
- We can make initiatives as a student body, and through Jerome, but they can’t
fund it. It can’t have the official university of Guelph on it, but they can review it.
- She said videos on youtube are not effective, but she would put it on her
website. A PPT could be useful.
- Everything needs to be run by the registrar, it has to be coherent with what they
are saying.
- “committee” will meet up in the future to discuss the next course of action.
- Sofie's 4th year class is interested in interviews! We can let her know how to
proceed.
16.4 Exec Updates
16.4.1: President
- Event Planning Forms
- It doesn’t have to be super detailed, but be thorough. (ensure you keep receipts)
- In the process of trying to make them available online (through Gryphlife
hopefully)
16.4.2: VP Finance and Admin
- Received SLEF for C2C and Life After Undergrad
16.4.3: VP Activities
-Idea of Minute to Win it Games with Sibs for courselink, not spend as much
money for games so we have a prize for winning. Let Ben know when you want
to meet up and he will join planning sessions.
-Will start on SRM at a later Date.
16.4.4: VP Academics
16.5 Senate Update
-Meeting Monday with Maureen about bylaws (SSC).
-Senate meeting the week after (unfortunately cannot attend), but they will be
announcing the new president.
16.6 Year/Cluster Rep Updates
16.6.1: Cluster Rep
- Cluster is doing great! We need to work on a new system for Posters possibly to
encourage turnout. Try actually going door to door when you’re on your way out. Make it
a tower event (talk to Sylvia). Put the poster on the windows where the RA’s stuff goes.
16.6.2: 1st Year
-Video to show students how to get to the lounge is finished!
-Looks great!! So cute!!

16.6.3: 2nd year
-great!
16.6.4: 3rd Year
-Some third years came out to Trivia! Yay!
16.6.5: 4th Year
-Made announcement to the class about trivia and grad bash!
16.7 College Rep Updates
16.7.1: CASU
- PDR dates Feb 24th and March 17th
- Arts week they’re renting a table in Mackinnon, it’s mandatory for us to sit there
for at least an hour to advertise our event. Monday February 10th (sign up for Esha
for 11:30/11:45, if not Maddie for 9:30-10:20), need a poster.
- want to know if we want to apply for hosting an annual symposium/ conference.
Can C2C count as our symposium? Would our AGM count as a symposium?
** CASU does this every year, keep in mind that we can use this in future years.

16.7.2: CSAHS-SA
- didn’t have a meeting and don’t have one next week.
16.7.3: CBSSC
- Meeting is tomorrow!

16.8.1: Get excited!!!
- Working group schedules and Skill sessions are posted
- Do they have HDMI hookups for the computers in the Science Complex?
