Rationale: Submit course for C-ID Math 955 - Precalculus and Trigonometry. This course is the second
course in the sequence, to be submitted with Math 007A. Aligned SLO's and SPO's, (Modified SLO 2 and
SLO 3, reworded many of the SPO's). Added MOIs, MOEs, modified assignment. Increased 4 units to 5
units to correspond to the 90 hours of lecture hours.
MATH 150 QUANTITATIVE LITERACY II
5.5 units
Prerequisite: Math 250 or Math 402 or Math 400B or placement based on the Math assessment process
Study of practical applications of mathematics including finance, probability, statistics, geometry,
measurement & dimensional analysis, and functions: linear, exponential & logarithmic. For non-STEM
majors, but open to all qualified students. Total of 90 hours lecture and 45 hours of laboratory.
Rationale: Update our SLOs, SPOs, and CCOs now that we have taught the class for a while.
Modifications to MOIs, MOEs, catalog description, contact hours, units, prereqs. Basic skills course.
Adjust the lab hours. The course is currently 90 hrs of lecture + 54 hrs of lab. We think we can do it in 90
hrs of lecture + 45 hrs of lab. Modify units to match the hours. Remove Beginning Algebra from the list of
possible prerequisite. It is unnecessary with 402 or 250 as prerequisite. And it is causing coding
problems.

mathematics is used. No credit if taken after Math 402, 400B, 125, 127B, or 128B. Total of 90 hours
lecture and 45 hours laboratory.
Rationale: Updating the SLOs, SPOs, and CCOs now that we have taught the course for a while.
Modification of catalog description, contact hours. The course is currently 90 hrs of lecture and 54 hrs of
