What is it???
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national
organization for middle school and high school students
who are presently enrolled in or have completed a technology
education course. TSA provides competition, leadership and
networking opportunities at the local, state and national
level.
Mission Statement:
The Technology Student Association
fosters personal growth, leadership, and
opportunities in technology, innovation, design,
and engineering. Members apply and integrate
science, technology, engineering and mathematics
concepts through co-curricular activities,
competitive events and related programs.
What does TSA offer students?
 Set realistic career and educational goals
 Develop workplace readiness skills
 Develop effective leadership skills
 Network with professionals
 Participate in community service activities
 Build self-confidence, motivation, and
enthusiasm
Getting Started…
1.
Visit the websites to collect your chapter recruitment materials
2.
Promote TSA in your classroom!
3.
Hold an interest meeting.
4.
Decide what on the type of membership that is best for your
school.
5.
Visit to complete the affiliation process.
6.
Choose events & hold elections
7.
Create a calendar of events for your chapter (include a service
project!)
8.
Begin fundraising & preparing for event competitions

Cost of Joining…
 Red CAP = $90 National Dues + $60 State Dues + $10 Advisor
Dues. This affiliates 1-10 student members. This is best used
for new chapters. You MUST have a minimum of 10 members
and 1 advisor to affiliate.
 White CAP = $9 National Dues + $6 State Dues per student
member + $10 Advisor Dues. This is to affiliate 1-25 members.
This is best used for intermediate sized chapters.
 Blue CAP = $350 at the National Level plus $250 Blue CAP
State Dues. This affiliates your entire school for the year.
