Pacific Cycle - Demand Planning Analyst

Pacific Cycle is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst to join our Demand Planning Team. This position will provide analysis to support short and long-term demand planning for key accounts such as Target, Kmart, WalMart, Toys R

Us, and more.

Demand Planning Analyst Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 Provide various analyses of key customer data to support short and long term forecasting in collaboration with the Demand Planning Manager

 Continuously improving forecasting techniques, methods, and approach

 Measuring the impact of forecast accuracy

 Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, POS and inventory levels.

 Assist with forecasting and inventory planning meetings with Sales and Supply Chain, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory Establish effective and supportive working relationships with

 the key accounts, exhibiting exceptional communication, follow through and organizational skills.

Analyze store and warehouse inventory and in-stock levels in order to maximize sales at the customer.

Identify “At Risk” products and plan inventory allocations to maximize “in-stock %”

 Analyze excess and obsolete inventory and present recommendations to the demand planning manager

 Provide in depth information on customer program performance and trends

 Collaborate with supply chain on maximization of factory and warehouse capacities.

 Create ad hoc reports as requested.

 Actively participate in training programs, sales meetings, and team meetings.

 Contribute to the success of Pacific Cycle Inc by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

 A minimum of 3 years of replenishment and forecasting experience in the consumer goods industry with overseas sourcing and/or long lead-time products.

 Associate Degree or equivalent required.

Knowledge of Windows computer applications required including MS Excel and Word.

 Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

 Must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere and assist in executing Pacific Cycle’s business with key customers.

 Must be able to be assertive with ideas and enthusiastic

Beneficial Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or related field.

 Retail Link experience

 One Sync experience

 Experience in a highly seasonal industry.

 APICS certification and/or attendance at/involvement with APICS programs or classes.

Knowledge of ERP systems as well as Spreadsheet and Data Base applications.
