Aims of Workshop:
• To share the TAFE SA e-learning Strategy
• To initiate quality and standards requirements for the
whole of TAFE with particular emphasis on Moodle.
• To establish and document Moodle and related
training requirements.

Review and set consistent and high standards for the quality of elearning courses and delivery and invest in the production and/or
acquisition of high quality teaching resources.
Plan a move from baseline to enhanced use of e-learning in all
program areas – a move which will improve the quality, raise the
expectations of students and staff, and help to engage students and
staff in a digital and e-learning community.
Increase the quality and quantity of courses offered using blended
learning methodologies.
Ensure that accurate student and staff data is available as required
for audit, reporting, professional development and decision making
purposes in regard to online delivery.

learning and communication beyond the curriculum. Staff will have improved

TAFE SA is recognised as a leading organisation in developing digital skills
that improve employability prospects for students and staff.

Diversify income streams to reduce dependency on state funding
through e-learning by offering TAFE SA qualifications are offered as
fully online for subsidised and full fee for service students wherever
a good business case exists.
Expand international business activity by entering new international
markets by offering more online courses to the overseas market
wherever a good business case exists.
Improve student retention by offering e-learning support
mechanisms for students at risk of disengagement.
Develop and implement e-learning strategies to increase
qualification and endorsed skill set completion rates.
Increase the number of commercially viable online short courses.
Use proven and successful e-learning practices that significantly
reduce overheads.
