Enhancing quality: • • • • 5 Review and set consistent and high standards for the quality of elearning courses and delivery and invest in the production and/or acquisition of high quality teaching resources. Plan a move from baseline to enhanced use of e-learning in all program areas – a move which will improve the quality, raise the expectations of students and staff, and help to engage students and staff in a digital and e-learning community. Increase the quality and quantity of courses offered using blended learning methodologies. Technical environment: • • The e-learning Standard Operating Environment is integrated and designed to provide a seamless, intuitive and collaborative learning environment. Utilise learning technologies in innovative ways to increase access to training opportunities and enhance student outcomes. 3. e-learning spaces: • • • 6 On campus computer availability for students is comparable or better than other Registered Training Organisations. Learning space requirements are better understood and more flexible and technology-enhanced classrooms are easily accessible. Distance and remote learning: • • • Advice and support is available for those wishing to develop fully online courses or to repurpose existing courses for online delivery. Professional sharing and collaboration: • • • 7 There is increased visibility and sharing of TAFE SA online courses and educational resources. Staff are recognised and rewarded for excellence in e-learning. Improve student retention by offering e-learning support mechanisms for students at risk of disengagement. Develop and implement e-learning strategies to increase qualification and endorsed skill set completion rates. Increase the number of commercially viable online short courses.
