play " past tense slap". T will Put Ss into
teams. T will Hold up a verb flashcard
everyone have to slap the table if they know
the verb. The student who slaps the table first
to give his/her answer with the correct "ed"
ending wins a point for their team.

an action started and finished at a specific time
in the past.
- in making a positive
simple past statement the pattern is:
( subject + V in past form )
you saw me yesterday.
- negative sentences the pattern is:
(subject + did not / didn't + V in the base form)
you did not see me yesterday
- with questions:
(did + subject + V in the base form)
did you see me yesterday?

