What is College Credit Plus?
• Replaces PSEO
• Replaces dual enrollment
• Opportunity to earn college credit
• Funding provided through the state of Ohio
• Everyone is still learning!
Ohio’s driving considerations appear to be:
• Student choice
• College access
• Program parity
College Credit Plus “Basics”
• Grades 7-12
• College-ready students
• Many college course options
• Public colleges (required to participate) are
free
• Private colleges may participate, but some
may include a small cost
Cedarville University will be free including
tuition, fees, and books!
College Credit Plus “Basics”
• Qualified public school students guaranteed
funding
• Qualified private school students and
homeschooled students are eligible to
participate; allocation based on available
funding
• Up to 30 hours per year; up to 120 hours total
• Bible (sectarian) courses excluded
Under what scenarios might a qualified
student participate in College Credit Plus?
• Student wants to take college courses to
satisfy high school graduation requirements
• Student has completed all high
school graduation requirements
and wants to begin college work
• Student wants to explore college
and take a course in a subject that
is of interest
Secondary School Considerations
• Weighted grades – College courses must be
weighted the same as Advanced Placement
and International Baccalaureate in the same
subject area

• Verify that students are not taking more than
30 credits per year; 120 credits total
• Calculation for determining eligibility:
Determine student’s number of high school units
Multiply that number x3

= Total number of college credits available through
CCP

• Convenient book rental system
• Costs
 College Credit Plus: Tuition, fees, and
books FREE (Bible classes not included)
 Outside College Credit Plus: $150/credit
hour ($25/hour discount available to
associated schools)
Important dates
 Indicate interest by April 1
 Apply now for admission
 Submit Cedarville acceptance letter and funding
application by June 15
(Forms will be available on the ODE website;
time stamp comes into play.)
 Receive notification of funding allocation
 Register for classes
 Attend orientation
 Begin classes August 17
