The Teacher Evaluation Process is a direct product of the NC Professional Teaching

Standards designed to prepare our students for working and living in a 21st century world.

What are the standards?

FIVE standards same for all teachers regardless of experience that include assessment of: teacher leadership, class environment, and teacher reflections of practices.

Complete online teacher self-assessment - use rubric to rate own performance

Professional Development

Plan-must include the

School-wide goal and an individual goal

Pre-Observation conference-Observer meets with teacher to discuss self-assessment,

PDP, and the lesson to be observed. Required before the first formal observation
