NCB Call for practice examples on improving mental health care and support for children in care, care leavers and adopted children

Following the publication of the government report Future in mind, produced from the work of the

Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Taskforce, NCB want to support the spread of good practice through gathering and promoting examples of good/promising practice. This is part of our role as Health and Care Voluntary Sector Strategic Partner.

We are gathering good and promising practice examples in relation to work to support the mental health of:

children in care, care leavers and adopted children

We will promote these via our website and bulletins to NCB’s members and partners and those of its specialist membership groups; to the Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England; local authorities and CCGs; other Strategic Partners. NCB is one of 22 organisations and consortia in the Health and Care Voluntary Sector Strategic Partner Programme – each of which has its own members and networks.

Please use this template to tell us about your example of good or promising local practice. Your example should be a current service or project or programme. We will write this up into case studies of about 400 words.

Any contributions will be fully acknowledged by NCB. After writing up your case study, we will send it to you for review and final approval. It is your responsibility to ensure that any partners or users referred to are happy with their representation in the case study.

By approving your case study, you agree to NCB reproducing or summarising it online, in print or at events, indefinitely.

Please complete the form and email it to kthomas@ncb.org.uk
