? Tiger’s can
climb trees,
Get ready to be amazed because what I’m going to tell you about
is the biggest cat in the world! Introducing the Tiger!
The Tiger is the biggest cat in the world! Each one has black
stripes, unlike other animals you may have seen! Tigers come in many
colors all of which look very pretty, orange with black stripes and even
white with dark stripes.
If you challenge a Tiger to a race, you better run fast because
tigers can run at thirty miles an hour! Tigers also have strong jaws to rip
things apart with like food. Just imagine if you had jaws like a tigers,
you’d be able to rip helpless pieces of food apart easily too!
They don’t call Tigers the biggest cats on earth for nothing,
because these beasts can grow up to ten feet! (My opinion HUGE)! Each
one has yellow eyes (and I thought tigers were already beautiful with
their fur)! In addition to being big tigers are also long, as they are nine
feet long! Tigers can weigh up to 420 which very and I mean VERY
heavy! Females can also weigh up to 300 pounds. But which Tiger
but almost
never do. I
don’t
understand
this because
from what I
hear, cat’s
climb tree’s.
So why don’t
Tiger’s do it
a lot? I think
I need to
read more
books to
figure that
out!
weighs the most? Drumroll please… It’s the… Siberian Tiger at a massive
up to 500 pounds (amazing I know)!
Looks like I’m out of things to tell you about in appearance, but

people are

their beautiful

their habitats.
However due
to this some
Tigers live in
zoos so they
can be safe
from danger.

My!
Uh oh! I had to go to Dunkin Donuts, made a wrong
turn and look where I ended up Asia! Well since this
is where Tiger’s live, I guess now I can talk about
their habitat. Tigers like I said live in Asia as well
as other place’s like tropical forests (I hope
tropical punch is there), grasslands, swamps and even
cold areas! I wonder if they ever met any polar
bear’s?
Enjoy being in the water? Well I do (except when
I’m drowning, which by the way almost happened to me)!
Well you expect Tiger’s to hate water do you? Nope!
Tiger’s actually ENJOY water! In fact Tiger’s like
water so much that if you find their habitat, it might
not be far from water at all! It’s pretty cool to see
a cat ENJOYING water don’t you think?
Have you ever thought how hard your Mom works for
you? Just think about it, she washes the dishes, takes
out the laundry and even makes your food! Well if you
think that’s hard to deal with, wait until you see
what a female tiger does! Raising children may be
tough, but how about raising up to six of them!
Females take care of up to six cubs, each are born in
a litter. Plus since after males and females mate they
separate, females raise the cubs on their own. Just
imagine if you got married, separated and soon had
kids. You’d have to work twice as hard then if you had
a husband or a wife!

because I’m hungry, which reminds me next is food.

There’s A Tiger And He’s
Hungry…
Ok now that I got my meal out of the way, now to talk about Tigers and
food.
Tigers have a big and I mean BIG appetite! In fact they usually can eat up
to 12 pounds! But if you think that’s a lot, it’s not even close to maximum
number of pounds a Tiger can eat! Up to how many pounds can a Tiger eat you
may ask? I’ll tell you, up to SIXTY POUNDS!!! What do they eat to gain all that
weight you may ask? Tigers don’t eat what we do like sandwiches or pancakes,
and find these more scrumptious. For example deer, antelope, birds and even
pigs! Tigers eat prey big to small, and they all have one thing in common. What
is it? They all have meat, but why is it important? Because Tigers eat meat of
course!
But getting prey isn’t easy, because they have to hunt it first! They have a
place called a territory where they hunt. How Tigers get prey is cruel in MANY
ways to me, because here’s how they get their prey. First they stalk the prey,
finally uses strong jaw to eat the prey. Sad isn’t it… The killed prey is called a
carcass, and it can take WEEKS for a Tiger to eat it!
Well I enjoyed my journey with Tigers and sharing what I learned with
you, now I’m home!
