WELCOME

TO MUNICH

Welcome

As a passionate day-to-day cyclist and in my function as the Lord Mayor of Munich I am very pleased that

Messe München GmbH is launching a significant bicycle trade fair in Munich – BIKE EXPO.

For years we have been dedicated to promoting cycling in our city. Munich and the region now offer an excellent network of cycling paths over a distance of over 1,200 kilometers, as well as a multitude of cycling tours for all disciplines and skill levels. For me personally there are many reasons and incentives to support cycling: first of all, it protects the environment, promotes health and is cost effective and secondly, when you are cycling you can continuously rediscover your area.

I greatly appreciate the BIKE EXPO’s orientation towards bicycle trends for town and country because it reflects the current trend of a new urban mobility. But it is not only the great enthu- siasm for cycling of

Munich’s citizens that speaks for the BIKE EXPO in Munich. The trade fair location, with state-of-the-art exposition premises, a generous open-air section, optimal infrastructure, transportation and hotel options, as well as the proverbial Munich hospitality is all predestined for a trade fair with a focus on cycling.

Welcome to the BIKE EXPO in Munich, the cosmopolitan cycling town with a heart.
