November 3, 2011. VOL. # ONE ISSUE #1 Steven Gailitis. The Life and death of Tupac Shakur. Tupac Shakur’s life and death. Rapper, actor. Born on June 16, 1971, in New York. Tupac Shakur has become a legend in hip-hop and rap circles for his talent, his violent behavior, and his brutal death. The son of a Black Panther activist, Shakur moved around a lot as a child. In his youth, he explored acting by becoming a member of the 127th Street Ensemble, a Harlem-based theater company. As a teenager, Shakur attended the Baltimore School for the Arts, where he took acting and dance classes, including ballet. While living in Baltimore, he discovered rap and began performing as MC New York. In the late 1980s, Shakur and his family moved to the West Coast. He joined the Oakland, California-based hip-hop group Digital Underground, which earlier had scored a hit with the song "The Humpty Dance." Debut as Tupac Shakur. In 1991, Shakur emerged as a solo artist - using the name 2Pac - with his debut album “2Pacalypse”. Tupacs second album “ Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z “, with the two singles, “I get around”, and “Brenda’s got a baby”. The album blew up and went platinum after some of these songs. Tupacs album sold more then one million copies. Around the time of this album, Tupac also stared in 7 different movies. What Happened To Tupac? One night in New York, Tupac went to go meet his friend Biggie Smalls at a recording studio in New York. As Tupac arrived at the recording studio, two men ran up on him and shot him 5 times. After Tupac was unconscious on the ground the thugs robbed Tupac for his money and all of his jewelry. After Tupac recovered in the hospital, he thought that Biggie Smalls had something to do with his shooting. So Tupac started a East Coast verse West Side war. Tupac later made a song called “Hit em’ up”, which came at Biggie Smalls and the whole Bad Boy Record Label. When Biggie had a show, there were Westside fans in the crowed screaming things about the east coast. So Biggie got fed up and played a song called “Who Shot Ya”, Which made Tupac think the song was about him. Top 10 songs from Tupac. November 7th, 2011 VOL. # ONE ISSUE #1 The Death Of Tupac. One night on September 13th , 1996 Tupac was driving in a car with famous rapper Suge Night. Now Tupac always wore a bullet proof vest when he went out to places, But for some odd reason on this night Tupac did not have a bullet proof vest on. When they came across a red light, and unknown vehicle approached the car from the passenger side. They pulled out an automatic gun and shot Rolling Stones “THUG LIFE.” Tupac 7 times. Tupac was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Tupac was in the hospital for seven days as he slowly died . On the seventh day, Tupac finally passed You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks or “ away. Sadly, they never caught the killer or killers that shot tupac on that horrible sad night on September 13th , 1996. even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened…or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on”… Tupac Shakur- June 16h, 1971-September 13th, 1996.
