motifs?
Planning the essay
Step 1 Brainstorm and planning:
1. Read through the notes, classwork and text again to ensure complete
understanding. A second reading always exposes something you may have missed out
on the first time.

Body and Conclusion. You are now ready to begin writing your essay.
Step 2 Drafting your essay:
1. Using your final Essay Planning Sheet you now begin writing your essay. You must
follow an essay structure. Introduction-Body –Conclusion.
2. You must include example/quotes as evidence for your points.
3. Write in paragraphs with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
4. Proof read your draft when completed.
Step 3 Taking your drafted essay to good copy
1. After your essay has been corrected and suggestions have been made as to how it can
be improved you must complete a typed up final copy which is clearly developed from
the draft.
