TaskStream as passing or not passing
and then will grade the paper in
ANGEL using the same procedure as
in other weeks.
If this is a “N” or 4-credit course, there
will be a rubric in TaskStream that the
instructor will use to evaluate the
assignment. The instructor will
download and grade the assignment
in TaskStream using the 5 point
rubric. Then, the instructor will have to
convert the TaskStream score to a
grade in ANGEL based on the
allocated points in the syllabus. If a
student makes a grade of 4.5/5 in
TaskStream and the assignment is
worth 35 points in ANGEL, then the
following is an example of how to
calculate the grade. 4.5/5= .9 Then
multiply .9 x 35. This equals 31.5
which is what the instructor would
record in ANGEL.
What do I do if:
The student does not submit to TaskStream and/or ANGEL?
If the student does not submit to both TaskStream and ANGEL in the module the assignment is
due, he or she earns a grade of zero in ANGEL.
The student does not include standards in the TaskStream submission?
Although students are asked to include selected standards when they submit to TaskStream,
please move forward with evaluating the TaskStream submission even if the standards have not
been selected by the student. You do not need to deduct points for missing standards or ask the
student to resubmit if only standards are missing.
The student does not include a rationale in the TaskStream submission?
A rationale, a paragraph addressing how the paper addresses the standards, must be included
with all TaskStream submissions. If a student neglects to post the rationale in TaskStream, you
can still award full credit if the rationale appears in the paper. If the student does not post a
rationale in TaskStream and does not include it in the paper, please deduct 10% from the grade
and proceed with the TaskStream evaluation.
If a student has the wrong portfolio?
He or she will need to contact their academic advisor.
The student is a non-degree seeking student?
Students who are not seeking a degree are not required to have a TaskStream account. The
instructor will grade their work in ANGEL only.
The student is taking the course, but it is not part of their program of study?
The student is exempt from submitting the assignments from this class to TaskStream. The
instructor will grade their work in ANGEL only.
