Abstract

With the emergence of the Internet of Things and improvement of
humans' living standards, smart home is becoming the future criterion of
home life.

Smart home not only gives users a safe, healthy and comfortable living
environment, but also allows users to remotely monitor their home state
and control home appliances.

In order to save energy and reduce the cost of smart home, there is a
pressing need for a new type of intelligent home control system.

With the emergence of Internet of Things, some new technologies, such as
Smart Planet, Intelligent Transportation and Smart Bank are being
developed.

These new applications deeply seep into all aspects of humans' life and
have brought many benefits to us in living and production.

Smart home not only gives users a safe, healthy and comfortable living
environment, but also allows users to remotely monitor their home state
and control home appliances.

However, in the current smart home system, the maintenance of home
network needs home gateway, home network monitoring equipment and
sensors in a working state of uninterrupted.

Based on the analysis of the traditional advantages and disadvantages of
the traditional smart home control system .

This paper presents a dynamic intelligent home control system based on
the new intelligent home gateway.
Related work

With the emergence of Android Phone, the configuration of mobile
terminals is becoming more and more powerful.

When the user carries smart phone based on Android platform entering
the house, we can use this smart phone as a temporary home gateway, it
will replace and close the current home gateway at the same time.

When the user carries the smart phones out, a specific device in the smart
home will automatically start the default home gateway.
Related work

In the intelligent home control system, when users enter the home
network with Android Phone, the system will use Android Phone as a
temporary home gateway, replace and close the original default home
gateway.

In this way, the default home gateway can greatly reduce the continuous
working hours, while maintaining its performance and stability, as well as
reduces the energy consumption throughout the life cycle.

In addition, the system also uses the method based on user behavior
analysis to make the home gateway intelligent.

Related work

This paper presents a solution based on friend remote control device
information table. In this solution, we need to maintain a table in default
home gateway's database.

The table records all family members' remote control devices' information,
such as IP address or phone number. The data table format is as Table 1:

When the default home gateway is taken over by the smart phone's mobile
gateway, the system will automatically send the new address information to
all remote control devices it can communicate with.

And at the same time, as home gateway needs to build user action mode
through collecting and analyzing the users' actions during a period, we
should synchronize data between home gateways.

Related work

According to the use of the appliances, to provide better services and save
more energy, we propose time and day to represent the User-patterns in
Table 2.
Related work

As shown in Figure 4, if the User-patterns and the strategy class in the
database are not similar, the system will pack the User-patterns in
accordance with the strategy class standard and write the class into the
strategy databases.
Related work

The system will select the appropriate strategy class from the strategy
database according to today’s date.

It will firstly scan all of the strategy class over the databases, then pick and
choose the class with the maximum counter value, and recommend this
strategy to the users.

If the users do not modify this strategy, the system will adopt this strategy
in Figure 5.

Conclusions

The solutions based on the dynamic and intelligent home gateway
proposed in this paper are to solve the problem of energy waste faced by
the intelligent home.

The dynamic home gateway can effectively reduce the continuous working
time of the traditional gateway.

At the same time, the intelligent solution can also predict users' behavior
to dynamically control the device on and off, reducing the useless working
time.
