This assignment will help you increase your skill at this type of writing. Read the article, “Two Models of English Colonization, 1600-1660” by Jack Greene and use the information Greene provides as well as your textbook (chapters 2, 3, 4) to create a chart which compares and contrasts the colonial regions (Southern colonies, Middle colonies, New England colonies). If there are differences within a region, specify those on the chart. You can use the blank chart on the back of this sheet OR make your own if you need more space. Create a column for each region and include a row for each of the following: names of colonies from each region motives for establishment of the colony, social classes/forms of labor, political systems, religion, economy, relationship with natives role of women physical geography For any arguments that you borrow from the Greene article, include the initials ‘JG’ AND page number where you found the evidence in your chart!
