Absences do NOT exempt you from any assignment, quiz or test. If you miss a class, check Powerschool, look on your unit outline and/or contact your peers in the class to find out what you missed and the necessary material to prepare for a possible quiz or test the day that you return. Contact the teacher in advance if you know you will be missing a class or if you have problems completing an assignment on time. Consequences for Inappropriate Behavior: Most cases will be dealt with as follows: 1. In class discussion, time – out and/or short personal meeting after class 2. Longer discussion or detention. 3. Contact with parents or guardians. 4. Referral to the office. Assignment Rubric and Homework ALL students will be held accountable for completing required assignments, quizzes, and tests. This may include contact with parents, lunch detentions, and other measures to ensure that students are completing the required evidence used to determine their understanding. Lunch make-up sessions will be offered daily by a Mathematics Teacher. During these sessions students may be able to write missed quizzes/tests and get extra help. Arrangements can be made with a teacher for extra help. Students may be asked to complete a few questions for homework, if they do NOT complete them in class. Homework should never and is not intended to exceed 2030 minutes/ Math course. **If HOMEWORK is becoming a problem this may be an indicator of one of the following: your child is struggling with content, may not be utilizing their class time appropriately, or another issue has arisen.
