CALENDAR: MATH 270 APPLIED CALCULUS
1.
Print the Course Syllabus and Calendar and place in Notebook .
2. Complete the Online Readiness Assessment in your TCC Blackboard (follow instructions in announcements). When you do, you will
receive your class key to register on My Math Lab. You must make 100 on the Online Readiness Test so you may take the test more than
once in order to gain the class key for My Math Lab. The purpose of the ORT is to make sure we are both on the same page in
our understanding of the course requirements. Once you've registered on My Math Lab, click on the link to Blackboard
and post an Introduction of yourself in the Introductory Forum in discussion board.
3. In your book there is a Review of Algebra chapter which many lecture courses do not cover. Take the pre-test for
Chapter R. If you make 85% or above, you may move on to Chapter 1. If you make less than 85%, then you should review
what you missed. When you are ready take the post-test. No matter what score you get move on to Chapter 1 material.
Whenever you need some algebra review those videos will always be available.
4. Progress Reports will be sent at least three times during the semester using Excel Spreadsheets. While you can view the individual
grades for Tests, and homework you will not be getting a totally accurate accounting of your average.

Homework in MML
You do get credit for the videos in MML but you do not have to do the problems that come with the videos unless you want to. You are
only required to do the Homework Assignments after each video tutorial.
