Distribute to sts pictures about doing an action by different methods and ask them to choose the most smart
Ask sts what make their choice most smart and guide them to answer: because this action need less effort

Divide the sts to 5 groups, and distribute in order:
1st group: distribute a simple materials and ask them to
make a machine that help them to raise a weight with the
minimum effort
2nd group: distribute a puzzle composed by the lesson title,
key words and ask them to solve it and discover the lesson
title
3rd group: distribute a sheets (A4) that contain words and
ask sts to arrange them to discover the definition of a
simple machine
4th group: distribute a sheets (A4) that contain words and
ask sts to arrange them to discover the definition of a lever
5th group distribute sheets pictures and a words and ask sts
to arrange them to discover types of levers

5th group: sts will match the pictures to the correspondent
