TOWER BRIDGE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 6th February 2015 First Aid In school children often have minor accidents. We just want to let you know that we will no longer be texting you about every bump to the head or accident they have in school. However for some accidents you may be called by a first aider. Polling Day We have been informed by Southwark that Tower Bridge School will be used as a Polling Station on Thursday 7th May 2015. When we were contacted we requested they find an alternative venue, unfortunately this was not possible. School will be closed on this day to all children, with the exception of Year 6 who will be taught at Snowsfields Primary School on this day. Parentgym We had a great Parentgym taster session on Tuesday. Session 1 starts on Tuesday 10th February and runs for 6 weeks. Each session is 2 hours and there will be a crèche provided for small children. Tea, coffee and other refreshments will also be provided. If you are interested in joining Parentgym, please see Michelle Moran for more details. Safer Internet Day On Tuesday February we shall be teaching the children about staying safe online. A parent workshop will be held in the assembly hall at 9.15am for parents who would like to know more and work with their children making Safebots! Dominic Williams, our local community police officer will be there to guide you further. We hope to see lots of you there! 10th Important Dates Monday 9th February Pupil Review Meetings Tuesday 10th February Internet Safety Day Friday 13th February Maths Fair Thursday 5th March World Book Day Friday 13th March Red Nose Day Friday 20th March Year 2 Assembly 23rd – 27th March Enterprise Week Thursday 26th March Spring Fair Friday 27th March Break Up Term dates for 2014-2015 Spring Term 6th Tuesday January – Friday 13th February 2015 Half term – 16th February – 20th February 2015 Monday 23rd February – Friday 27th March 2015 Summer Term 14th Tuesday April – Friday 22nd May 2015 Half term – 25th May – 29th May 2015 Monday 1st June – Friday 17th July 2015 Parent Workshops 10th February Safer Internet Day (All parents) 26th February Healthy Eating (All parents) 5th March World Book Day (All parents) A Reminder… Don’t forget – Monday is Pupil Review Day. We were searching for clues to help solve the mystery story we are reading in Literacy. How did our character, Salim, disappear from one of these pods?
