Jacksonville during my tenure at JU.

Submitted and received a grant for Creative Teaching in Leadership.

Served as a member of the Review/Consulting Committee (Expert Advisor) for Irwin
Publishing Company. I have been acknowledged in the Fundamentals of
Management textbook authored by Donnelly, etc., as one of the principal
contributors. The textbook is one of the most popular books in the country.


SPECIAL PROJECTS

Directed and coordinated the development of two comprehensive strategic marketing
projects (including TV and radio commercials, web pages, and financial analysis
programs) for two non-profit organizations (a- Hubbard House: a center for battered
and abused women, b- Jacksonville Zoo) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Supervised a marketing research project for a major U.S. cosmetic firm to study the
feasibility of a new cosmetic concept. Due to the nature of the study the competitive
environment, the company is not willing to publicize its name at this point.

Supervised two projects for the U.S. Post Office and the Museum of Science and
History in Jacksonville. Both organizations have sent letters of appreciation for the
projects.

Helped to develop a strategic marketing plan for the Marine Research Center. The
Plan was presented to the Mayor’s Council and it has been implemented.

Revised and submitted a curriculum proposal for entrepreneurship major and minor
as well as a certificate program in entrepreneurship. The new changes have been
approved and implemented in the program.

Provided technical advice for a research project conducted by a McNair scholar. I
was also a faculty reader for the project.
STUDENT-RELATED UNIVERSITY ACTIVITIES

I helped to establish the JU Chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management
(SAM) and I am the faculty advisor for SAM. SAM has attracted many fine students
and has actively participated in a variety of JU and College of Business functions.

I helped to establish the JU Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda – Business and professional
fraternity and I remain the designated faculty liaison for the organization.
