Vision
 Provide tools and utilities to accelerate content creation (applications) and expose business objects
that can be consumed in Microsoft SharePoint and Office
Value proposition to Duet Enterprise
 Help to substantially simplify and accelerate the modeling of additional business objects and expose
them in SharePoint via the enhanced design time tools and utilities
 Assist in leveraging enhancements from SAP NetWeaver Gateway in Duet Enterprise (such as
improved design time)
 Use templates and building blocks for quicker data binding and user interface creation in SharePoint
and Office

Enhancements currently considered for Duet Enterprise by SAP and Microsoft
 Based on latest SAP NetWeaver Gateway technology
o Enable additional consumers (such as mobile devices) for objects in SAP NetWeaver Gateway
o Provide fully integrated development environment in workbench for ABAP
o Support backward compatible
 Simplified and enhanced development process
 Additional building blocks and templates for enabling “most asked for” scenarios
like:
o Time management (calendar-based scenarios)
o Customer relationship management (CRM) – contact-based scenarios
 Covered via Duet Enterprise license (must be current on maintenance)
