Brief introduction:
Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages is a full-time institute of tertiary
education established under the consent of the National Ministry of Education.
Located in the city of Shaoxing, the hometown of Luxun, the history of this university
can be traced to the days of Shaoxing Yuexiu Foreign Languages School, which was
founded in 1981 by Shao Hongshu, a renowned educationalist and nephew of Shao
Lizi (Shao Lizi was well-known as the 'Old man of Peace'). Mr. Wei Fengjiang, the
only Chinese student of the Indian poet Tagore, was the first headmaster of the
institute.
At present, the university has two campuses, namely, the Jishan Campus and the Jinghu
Campus. It has 9 colleges, namely, College of English, College of Euro-languages,
College of Oriental Languages, College of International Business, College of
International Education, College of Internet Communication, College of Adult
Education, The International College, and a Foundation College for overseas studies.
The university, offering 36 majors to students of undergraduate and higher vocational
levels, is the largest of its kind in terms of the number of registered students and
languages courses opened.
Presently, the university has approximately 13，881 full-time students, 601 full-time
teachers made up by 182 Professors and Associate Professors (two of them are
qualified doctoral supervisors) as well as 84 foreign teachers from Australia, Canada,
Britain, USA, Russia, Japan and the Republic of South Korea.

Zhejiang Province. It recruits Chinese students who just finished junior school and will start senior, to

most official A-Level center in Zhejiang province.It has been the most authoritative, international and

IGCSE and A-Level Teachers for CIE
The requirements for IGCSE, A-Level Teachers:
Subjects:
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science;
Qualification:
Enthusiastic and creative teachers with the ability to make their subject easily understandable to
students learning in a second language;
Have a degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD)in a related subject, and preferably have at least 2
years of teaching experience and/or a teaching degree.
Native speaker preferred, however, candidates of any age or nationality are warmly welcomed,
although excellent English skills are a prerequisite.
Responsibilities: (IGCSE, A-level teachers)
1. Teaching A-level and/or IGCSE, and related courses in English (18-22 class hours/week);
2. Training Chinese teaching assistants in A-level teaching technique;
3. Preparing written teaching material in English for use in the future.

Brief introduction:
Shaoxing University, located in Shaoxing, was approved by the Ministry of Education
of People’s Republic of China in 1996 as a multidisciplinary university growing in both
popularity and strength. The history of the University can be traced back to Shankuai
Primary Normal School founded in 1909.
In March 2010, the University was officially listed by the Academic Degrees
Committee of the State Council as a master's degree authorization project construction
unit. So far, the University has three master’s degree programs of Chinese literature,
business administration and chemistry,
Shaoxing University consists of 4 campuses, namely the Main Campus, Lanting
Campus, Shangyu Campus and Jinghu Campus, with a total area of 115 hectares and a total
floor space of 530,000 square meters. The University offers 52 undergraduate
programmes in the following 10 academic disciplines: liberal arts, science, engineering,
medical science, law, pedagogy, economics, agriculture, management and fine arts.
Organised within the University are one independent college-Yuanpei College and 17
Schools. The schools include School of Economics and Management, Law School, School
of Education, School of Physical Education, School of Humanities, School of Foreign
Languages, School of Music, School of Fine Arts, School of Calligraphy, School of
Mathematics, Physics and Information Science, School of Engineering, School of Textile
and Apparel Designing, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Life
Sciences, School of Medical Science, Shangyu College, College of Adult Education. The
University also has 3 affiliated hospitals.
At present, the University’s full-time undergraduates total more than 22,000. Among
its 1,700 staff members, there are over 1000 full-time faculty with 152 professors and
320 associate professors. Among the faculty, there are 183 PhD degree holders and 532
Masters’ degree holders. Eight guest professors are academicians with the Chinese
Academy of Science.
