We are pleased to inform you that the application for 2016 POSTECH Winter Program is now
open. POSTECH Winter Program provides students with a wide range of research
experiences, and also offers various cultural activities for 5 weeks from January 4th to
February 5th, 2016. Students will be given an opportunity to participate in research projects
with graduate students and researchers under the supervision of advising professors.
Cultural Activities included in the program are listed below:
• Week 1: Orientation, Welcome Lunch & Campus Tour
• Week 2: POSCO Tour & Pohang City Tour
• Week 3: Trip to Gyeongju & Experience Korean Traditional Culture
• Week 4: Trip to Ski Resort
• Week 5: Wrap-up: Celebration of Lunar New Year’s Day & Final Presentation
A detailed schedule will be announced by the end of November.
Korean Language Class:
• Regular Korean classes provided by POSLEC
• POSLEC Korean Class Registration at http://poslec.postech.ac.kr
Apply
Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate students with a credit average or above are
encouraged to apply. The application deadline is October 31st, 2015. Students who have
applied must also complete this UNSW Global Education Registration Form and Transfer of
Credit Form by 9am Monday 2 November 2015. Students will be aware of their admission
status by mid-November. The registration period for successful applicants is Registration
Period: December 14th-December 24th, 2015.
All applicants are required to identify a supervising professor-to-be at POSTECH on the
application form. The identified professor will then determine the applicant’s
admission. Students will NOT receive any credits for their research participation and Korean
language class. Certificate of Completion will be issued at the end of the program. Please

Required Documents for the Application include:
1) Application Form (Please refer to the attached file.)
2) Transcript of Academic Records in English
3) 1 Recommendation Letter from Supervisor
4) Official Score of English Proficiency (for non-native English speakers only)
5) Copy of Passport
※ Soft copies of the documents will suffice. Please submit all required documents to Ms.
