 92 point exam; there are 23 short answer worth 4 points each
o 7 problems on solving for x in either a rational, radical or
polynomial function.
o 3 rational or radical inequality problems
o 3 or 4 problems on finding all the roots of a problem
including listing all the possible roots.
o Write a polynomial given only the roots
o 2 graphing problems; graphing a polynomial function
and an inequality
o Determine whether a function is odd, even or neither by
its graph
o Perform synthetic division and write the depressed
polynomial (quotient) – with remainder if applicable
o Determine if a term is a factor of a polynomial
o Find the discriminant of a quadratic and describe the
roots
o Use the location principle
o 1 partial fraction proble
o One transformation problem
 You will have the entire class period to complete the exam –
you must finish in the time allotted
 You may use your calculator – you may not share calculators
