Midterm 25 Final 25 Presentation 25 Quizzes 20 Midterm and Final Both midterm and final will have multiple choice, open, true/false, Yes/No, draw, and fill in the blank questions. You can NOT use an index card at the Midterm and Final. Both are closed books For all written tests, if I can not read it, it will be marked down. Quizzes Each class will have a short quiz. You may have a WRITTEN index card with you. The card can be 4 by 6 inches and you can write front and back. Your name has to be on the card and you hand in the card with your quiz. ( you will receive your card back with your graded quiz). There will be 9 quizzes but grading will be based on the 8 highest scored quizzes. Quizzes will be at the start of the class, be on time. Professionalism, Class expectations Come to each class. Be on time also after the breaks and lunch. Stay the whole class. No phones/text/emails/ twitter/ Facebook. If a call is expected I need to know before the class begins. Come prepared. You must read the chapters before class. Be an active class member. No question is a silly question. Come to me if you feel you are getting behind. Each class will include a short quiz. If I can not read your answer it is marked down. Class expectations The goal is to introduce you to the clinical experience of OT practice related to topics of neuroscience. Due to the stressful nature of the course I ask that all questions related to topics that are not directly related to the presented material of the moment, be submitted to me on breaks. The goal is to avoid confusion and distraction and stay focus on the topics presented in class. Online Presentation Each student is expected to create a presentation in PowerPoint of maximum 20 slides or in Word format maximum 5 pages. The topic has to relate to a neuroscience subject and used in an application to OT practice. References have to be included and properly formatted. Online Class Presentation Each student is expected to have their presentation posted by the end of Thursday10/20. Each student has to have their topic pre approved by me and the approved topic must be in by the of class 2. No duplicates. Each student is expected to have a meaningful and professional responds posted to 3 other students by the end of Sunday the 23rd.
