How do Colleges Make Admission
Decisions?
 Since each institution is different, if you are
curious, it is important to inquire with individual
schools about their decision making process
 Typically, most colleges and universities consider:
• Courses taken in 9-11th grades, the grades earned in
those courses, and the strength of senior schedule
• Test Scores
• Extra-curricular Activities
• Essay
• Letters of Recommendation
