The purpose of this guide is to assist you in completing your application form for a
Student-Summer Employment Opportunity (SEO) with the Ontario Public Service
Screen shots have been provided to familiarize you with:
a) The job ad
b) The application form
Please ensure you review the job ad information in detail prior to submitting your
application
New for 2012: There are a number of pre-screening questions on the application
form that use a rating scale for responses. All questions must be answered to
successfully submit your application. You are encouraged to review the new SEO
rating scale prior to answering these questions.
The SEO rating scale will be available in the Frequently Asked Questions – Section
E, Question 2 on the SEO website and in Appendix A of this document.

• Prior to applying to a student – summer employment job ad please
familiarize yourself with the detailed rating scale. You will be required
to answer a number of pre-screening questions per job ad using this
four point scale. Based on the details below and your knowledge,
