Dear Permit Holder,
On behalf of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, I would like to invite you to apply for our
Community Use of Schools program – Focus on Youth. This program offers subsidized space from
July 5—August 12, 2016. Due to the overwhelming response for the Community Use of
Schools program, priority will be given to those groups that meet the needs of the communities
they serve.
To qualify for the program, organizations must meet the following criteria:



Applicants must be recognized as not for profit or registered charity organization.
Organizations in operation less than 5 years must apply with other recognized community
partners
Priority will be given to organizational partnerships. (Ex. Organizations partnering with 2 or more
groups)
Priority will be given to groups that offer free or minimal charged programs to the participants.

To qualify, enrolment must be at least 80% from the immediate community served.

All programs MUST demonstrate how they will incorporate literacy and numeracy in their
programs.

Please note, program requests after 6PM and Saturdays will be limited to the twenty three
Priority schools listed and subject to availability. There are NO Sunday requests available under
these programs.

Priority school funding is for groups of all ages however, daycare and
childcare programs do not qualify for PSI funding.

fees and to reduce barriers for the community to access school space.
