Learners must be able to interpret laws, reports, statistical
information, and multiple forms and regulations.
Applications
Read articles in journals on criminal justice and define
terms. Read various types of observational pieces of writing
and understand the concepts, terms, and inferences made.
Concentrate on Observational Writing and/or Technical
Writing with emphasis on sentence structure, spelling,
punctuation, chronological formation of events, proper use
of citations in multiple written forms and reports.
Write a field report, a press release, a warrant affidavit, a
probation report.
Concentrate on addition, subtraction, multiplication and
division as well as understanding the principals of
triangulation, ratios, and speed distance calculations.
Estimate, apply, & solve problems involving fractions,
decimals, percentages, & real numbers; construct &
interpret tables, charts, maps and/or graphs; apply
measurement concepts of distance, direction, rate, time &
acceleration; explain & give examples of variable interest
rates.
The ability to understand and use the latest technology is
absolutely necessary.

boards, news groups, home pages, & other online
resources.
