Chain of Love Homes, Brazil
At the end of August Chris' family said goodbye to the ministry at Chain of
Love Homes where they served eight and a half years. What the Lord has
been able to do in those years was to allow Chris the opportunity to train
Brazilian leaders who are now capably leading this special ministry to
rescued street children.
Chris writes, "It is so encouraging to us as missionaries to see Brazilians
become more and more involved and take on more ministry ownership
and responsibility. We truly believe God handpicked COL's leadership, its
support staff, and that He wants to conclude our work with a sense of
accomplishment."
Christ & Ingrid are now back in Calgary Alberta Canada with their children
already enrolled in the public school system. Their mission sending agency,
The NAB Conf., has requested that we consider supporting them until the
end of the year.
Our Missions Team is meeting and praying about how to proceed with
these changes. Transitions like this are good because of the effective way
Chris trained others to take his place in the work of the ministry at Chain of
Love.
Chris also writes to us, "Thank you for the opportunity to serve our Lord
and you during our time in Brazil."
We are a grateful church and have been deeply touched with the sacrifice
the Kidd's made over the eight and a half years. Our prayers go with them
as they readjust to North American life and a new direction of work and
ministry.
