Requirements for a Bachelor of Science in CIS include successful
completion of at least 120 semester hours of courses (excluding Academic
Literacy courses beginning with 0), of which at least 36 hours must be
from advanced (3000-4999) courses. Grade requirements include a
minimum overall GPA of 2.0 and grade of “C” or better in all CIS
Courses, English 1311/1312, and ECON 2302. Residency requirements
include at least 45 course hours at UIW, including 12 hours in advanced
courses and at least 36 of the last 45 hours counting towards graduation.
Additionally, 45 clock hours of community service and proof of computer
literacy are required (fulfilled by CIS 1301 for all CIS students).
