95. My school in Weatherford, Oklahoma (High School) got all their students Lance Armstrong
type bracelets that are red and they say “Delete”- they taught their students to delete any
unkind words off their pages. The students are even going around to all the other schools
(elementary and middle schools) and talking to them about cyber bullying). It is working and
they are seeing a lot less bullying and a lot more kindness. If you are interested in talking
to them- they would be happy to take emails. Ginger Powell or Valerie Caulkins Shreck at

Elementary Gotcha Rewards:

Fairy Tales into modern times and perform them for the
Kindergarten classes. One student can cash in gotchas to earn
this prize for the entire class.
Student can choose to stay after school and learn how to throw
a football so that it goes perfectly straight by any adult who
can teach this skill.

Ask the cooks to save left-overs for a week and have the three
cooks use the left-overs to create a meal. The principal and PE
teacher will be the judges with the counselor being the tie
breaker.
Cash in gotchas to color a poster for the principal’s door about
our behavioral expectations: After all- the kids who visit this
office really need something snazzy to help them remember the
expectations:
Cash in gotchas to go down and help the Music teacher with a
younger class for music class:
Have the PE teacher teach 3 couples who
cashed in gotchas how to dance in a “So you
Think You can Dance competition” and let the
classes of the three couples vote in secret
ballot.
Let students cash in gotchas to come spend the
night (till 11 PM) in the gym with sleeping bags and
flashlights and all the books they want to bring
for an overnight safari reading night. Students
can get in their sleeping bags and read with their
flashlights- or go to stations (Teachers set up in
little pop-up tents)- reading aloud)- Wear jungle
safari clothing- decorate gym like a jungle. Serve
green kool-aid (Jungle Juice)- have glow in the
dark stars all over.
Ask parents to bring in old suitcases- fill with
dollar amounts and discard books from the
library- Put Numbers on the Suitcases (Just
like the game Deal or No Deal)- the students
can choose a suit case with their gotchas and
then play Deal or No Deal- they can either
take the banker’s offer to have a book
dedicated to them in the library or take the
suitcase. It might be a book someone’s little
sister colored all over the inside of – or it just
might be a really cool old book. Who
knows?????

Student can cash in gotchas to earn their
teacher a $2.97 ball from Wal-Mart which you
got with letterhead for free. The teacher
writes with a Sharpie® pen all the review
facts for math or social studies etc. and the
students toss the ball back and forth as a
review for the test. Where the right thumb
lands is the question they have to answer. The
whole class gets to play and one student
earned it for the whole class.
Students can cash in gotchas and go to

treats for dogs in an animal shelter, buy water
for villagers in Haiti and so much more:

every answer they get correct they earn 10 grains
of rice to help end world hunger. This is real and
the questions help them learn English, math, social
studies, etc.

test review for his or her class.

apprentice at a store near the neighborhood with
parent permission and of course store manager’s
permission on Saturday.
