Youth in Action "2015" Northern Georgia Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional COGIC Scholastic Motivation Ministries (SMM) Web Site: www.fineartsCOGIC.com Face Book.com/Fine-Arts COGIC T.W. Josey Comprehensive High School Augusta, Georgia – February 7, 2015 “God's Favor” Scholastic Motivational Ministries (SMM) Northern Georgia Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional COGIC “Thou hast granted me life and favor, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit”. Job 10:12 Greetings in the precious name of our LORD and our Savior Jesus Christ: God, in his never-ending mercy gives us to know that “His Favor” is absolute and complete. Our youth is the most “irreplaceable asset” that we have, even more valuable that our 401K; however, the question is: are we putting enough time in nurturing, developing and culturing them? “Young people learn by example”. The way we go about our daily task of living our lives, and conducting our business, is what our Youth are zeroing in on, not the way we act when we are in our “Church Mode”. The ways we allow our inner most private lives to be played out in the public eye is what our youth and the world outside of our churches see and gauge us by. Saints of GOD, we are the only example that our youth and the world see. Psalms 90:17 reminds us that, “The Favor of the Lord our GOD will confirm the work of our hands”. As our Jurisdiction, our Districts and our Churches grow and as our Christian lives strive to be more like Christ, remember Jesus example toward the children, how Jesus loved them and took time with them. Jesus admonishes us in Proverbs 22:6 to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. Our Bishop Leads by example, he has often said, “follow me, as I follow Christ”. Bishop Walden, we want you to know that your Scholastic Motivational Ministry pledge to follow and support your vision for our youth; we pray for your cabinet; our anointed Elect Lady, Evangelist Dorothy Walden, our Supervisor of Women and her cabinet; and for you “Northern Georgia Two” for without YOU, there is no need for us. Please remember the Scholastic Motivational Ministries and our youth as we are: "Preparing Today's Generation to be tomorrow’s Leaders" “In the Spirit of Excellence” Saints continue to walk in the favor of GOD, Gwendolyn Bonner Missionary Gwendolyn Bonner, President SMM 2 TABLE of CONTENT CONTINUES Index Page Number Scholastic Motivation Ministries Motto and Statement of Purpose The Mission, Vision and Goal Scholastic Motivation Ministries Internationally Song: Life and Favor Events with Coordinators NON - COMPETITIVE EVENTS Children’s Church Arts and Crafts Robotics Ministry STEAM Drill Team Jump Rope COGIC Girls Rock Men of Valor Young Women’s / Gentlemen’s combined Workshop Tambourine Band Choir Liturgical Praise Dance The Life of COGIC/Who is Bishop Charles Harrison Mason? Even when we feel lost, God's love embraces us completely. Allow God to “Lead you and to guide you along life’s way, for, if HE leads you, you will not stray”. You only need to say: “Lord, let me walk each day with thee, lead me or Lord lead me”. God loves each and every one of us, even those of us who feel flawed, incomplete, awkward, incompetent, fragmented, damaged, broken, worthless, unappreciated, undervalued, rejected, weak and dejected. “Always remember and NEVER forget”, you are not who others say you are. “You are what God has ordained you to be”, only GOD’s favor, grace and love matters; to accept God's favor/grace/love, “you alone must first trust him with your whole heart”, and believe that He is GOD and that there is “NONE” like him. We become puppets when we allow anything/anyone other than God to effectively pull our string... Understand that God knows your name, as well as your “heart”. All you are required to do is to “Trust the Lord with your Whole Heart, which requires total/complete reliance on God. Because of GOD’s favor/grace/love, the word of GOD gives us to know that, “He alone can and will create in us a Clean Heart “and “Renew a right Sprint within us”, then our testimony becomes: "I’m delivered, here’s my story. God’s Life and favor upon me, brought me out. You don’t know it let me tell it Life and favor upon me He brought me out. God of Mercy He who Loves me”! Life and favor upon me He brought me out. Oh how wondrous is my story life and favor upon me He brought me out. You can’t imagine what I’ve gone through, life and favor upon me He brought me out. I’m delivered, that’s my story, life and favor upon me He brought me out. God of mercy; He who loves me, life and favor upon me He brought me out. Oh how wondrous is my story. Life and favor upon me He brought me out. You can’t imagine what I’ve gone through. But GOD’s Life and Favor upon me, He brought me out. (John P.
