Objective
I am pursuing an English degree with the most definite intention of going to medical school to
become a doctor. I believe that a strong background in writing and communication will help me treat
patients in a more humanistic and effective manner. I hope to do surgery, but expect to get a true
sense of what my attributes are best geared for, and what field of medicine I have the greatest affinity
for, through the exposure medical school will grant me. I greatly desire to serve in an international
program such as Doctors Without Borders at least for a year or two.
