Assignment: Research, outline, and deliver a 4-6 minute Persuasive Ted Talk.
Talk that demonstrates excellence in the areas that we have discussed all
semester: persuasive theory, topic selection/audience sensitivity, credibility
establishment, research and citation, organization, argument, and delivery.
You will be graded on the following criteria:
1. Topic Selection (Must be approved by instructor)/Audience Sensitivity
a. Topic exhibits social significance
b. Research, language, and visual aids complement the tone
appropriate for selected speech topic
c. Research, language, visuals aids used captures audiences’
attention
d. Topic must be current, which means that the sources used
within the speech must be published within the last two years
and should articulate its recent relevance
