* A training range of $2,500 to $5,000 less per annum may be offered for up to six months for applicants

CENTER FOR DOMESTIC PEACE is a non-profit organization, in existence now for 38 years, working at
the county, state, and national level to end domestic violence. Center for Domestic Peace (C4DP) serves
women, men, and youth who have been, and/or who are at risk of being, abused and or battered, or
who have perpetrated, and/or who are at risk of perpetrating, abuse, bullying, and or battering. C4DP’s
programs helping children, teens, women, and men to live violence-free lives include: 24-hour hotlines;
emergency shelters; transitional housing; support groups; legal advocacy; school programs; community
prevention and education projects; professional continuing education programs; corporate, state, and
nation-wide trainings; leadership development programs; and resource identification.
Position Overview
The Children & Youth Community Change Division Manager will provide leadership in the development
and ongoing management of the division, which includes three program areas for young people ages 024 at C4DP: 1) a new Children & Youth Clinical Therapy program; 2) the existing Marin Youth Services,
which is the age-specific youth dating violence advocacy service department; and 3) the existing
Transforming Communities-Marin program, which leads the prevention and outreach efforts for the
division. This role will supervise 3 positions: the Prevention Specialist, as well as the Case Manager and
Clinical Supervisor for the Clinical Therapy program. The Manger will play a key role in the design of
strategies to enhance Marin County’s system-wide response to children and youth impacted by dating
and domestic violence, including but not limited to gaps in service responses, policies, training needs,
inter-agency coordination, and program development.
The ideal candidate for this position is: experienced in addressing the impact of dating and domestic
violence on children and youth; has completed a certified domestic violence training program; is a
seasoned manager experienced in community planning, service delivery systems, training design and
delivery; and is experienced in working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Program Planning and Management:


Oversee successful implementation of project scope of work deliverables for county, state, and
federal grants; coordinate and manage one of C4DP’s fastest-growing divisions in the
implementation of the three program areas; coordinate and finalize of the planning process
(already underway) for new and expanding program areas; produce written documents and
conceptual models for programs.
Oversee the management of youth engagement in sustainable dating and domestic violence
prevention and outreach efforts across Marin schools and community networks. Provide strategic
direction for expanding efforts to specifically reach at-risk youth not in traditional
schools/colleges, and Latino youth.





Manage the implementation and expansion of culturally, linguistically, age, and sexual orientation
(CLAS)-specific service model to provide advocacy, legal advocacy, and counseling services to
youth victims (ages 13-24), including providing advocacy services directly, as needed. Expand
access points for at-risk youth and young adults, and Latino youth.
Work with community project partners and C4DP team to finalize a strategic planning process for
developing the new Children & Youth Clinical Therapy Program.
Supervise and contribute to the development and ongoing implementation of the new therapy
program, including supervising the development and implementation of a service delivery model,
program protocols, the launch of the program, and the clinical therapy team on an ongoing basis.
Work with partners to develop joint policies to address information-sharing, confidentiality,
parental consent, and mandatory reporting between partners.
Build upon existing systems and create new systems for ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness
of all program areas in achieving defined outcomes. Manage data, maintain records, files and
statistics, ensure the quality of data, and utilize data to produce reports.
Training and Collaboration to Enhance the System-Wide Response to DDV:




Conduct training for members of the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence
Network (CCR Network) around improving the CLAS-sensitive system-wide response to children,
youth, and young adults impacted by dating and domestic violence.
Work with CCR Network members to develop CLAS-specific protocols and policies for screening,
assess, and referring child witnesses and youth and young adult victims.
Represent C4DP at public meetings and debrief these meetings to the project management team
in a thorough, appropriate, and accurate manner.
Liaison with project partners and other youth service providers throughout Marin.
Documentation and Sustainability:


Produce regular progress reports for three funders and other reports, as needed.
As appropriate, assist with sustaining C4DP’s work with youth and young adult victims by
identifying potential resources (including in-kind sources of support and monetary funding
sources).
REQUIREMENTS












Minimum of a BA (Master’s preferred) in Public Health, Human Services, Social Work, Public
Administration, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in program development and management, strategic thinking,
supervision and report writing.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience working with, and cultivating the involvement of, diverse youth
and young adults, with a preferred focus on Hispanic/Latino populations.
Minimum of 4-6 years working with victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault,
and stalking with successful completion of a certified domestic violence counselor training course.
In depth knowledge of, and alignment with, the battered women’s justice movement perspectives
on batterers, abused and at-risk women, youth, and children, and progressive movements to end
youth violence and create equality among youth.
Proven capacity to effectively design and deliver training to multiple audiences.
Previous experience working with populations marginalized by cultural, linguistic, age, and sexualorientation barriers.
Fluent bilingual in English/Spanish, both verbal and written preferred.
Strong writing and verbal presentation skills.
Familiarity with Marin-based social services network preferred.
Resourcefulness, flexibility, self-motivation, and ability to inspire enthusiasm and participation.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle required.
