For example, a student with a 16 ACT will be considered if they show full completion of the core curriculum and a high GPA or class rank such as top 5%. Transfer students need to complete 24 credit hours and 2.0 GPA for most degree programs. Those with less than 24 credit hours will be evaluated on freshman requirements as well. Students who do not meet admission requirements are encouraged to apply as they may be admitted to the Coaching Program, an academic support program to aid in the student’s transition to UMKC.
