Music and Rhyme
Our nursery rhyme for this month is “The
Eensy Weensy Spider.” Please practice
saying and singing this rhyme at home with
your child.
The Eensy Weeny Spider
went up the water spout.
Down came the rain
and washed the Spider out.
Out came the sun
and dried up all the rain.
And the Eensy Weensy Spider
went up the spout again.
Our song this week is:
“Did You Ever See a Pumpkin?”
(Sung to the tune of: “Did You Ever See a Lassie?”)
Did you ever see a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin?
Did you ever see a pumpkin with no face at all?
With no eyes, and no nose, and no mouth, and no teeth?
Did you ever see a pumpkin with no face at all?
So I made a Jack-O-Lantern, Jack-O-Lantern,
Jack-O-Lantern.
So I made a Jack-O-Lantern with a big funny face.
With big eyes, and a big nose, and a big mouth, and big
teeth.
So I made a Jack-O-Lantern with a big funny face.
