YES You may sign up for a math course in the fall and a math course in the spring. This may be necessary if you are hoping to take both of the AP courses that we offer at Holmen (AP Statistics and AP Calculus) How do I know if I should take Algebra II or Algebra II-4? • It depends! Please meet with your Geometry teacher. He/she will be able to recommend which course you should take. Please take his/her advice!! • Algebra 2 is a fast paced course for students that have a solid foundation from Algebra I and Geometry. Plan to have homework daily and to come in and get additional help regularly. • Algebra 2-4 is a slower paced course for students that have taken Algebra 1 and Geometry and done alright, but need more time with concepts and like a slower paced course. New Course Offerings in Math We are offering 2 new course in the math department! COMPUTER PROGRAMMING (1 Term) DISCRETE MATHEMATICS (1 Term) You should have strong math skills (C or Better) in Algebra 2 or permission from Geometry Teacher to sign up for these courses.
