TEXAS TRADING COMPANY About eBay, the World’s Largest Online Marketplace eBay is the world's largest personal online trading community. eBay created a new market: efficient one-to-one trading in an auction format on the Web. Individuals—not big businesses—use eBay to buy and sell items in more than 1,600 categories, including collectibles, antiques, sports memorabilia, computers, toys, beanie babies, dolls, figures, coins, stamps, books, magazines, music, pottery, glass, photography, electronics, jewellery, gemstones, and much more. Users can find the unique and the interesting on eBay—everything from chintz china to chairs, teddy bears to trains, and furniture to figurines. As the leading person-to-person trading site, buyers are compelled to trade on eBay due to the large amount of content available. Similarly, sellers are attracted to eBay to conduct business where there are the most buyers. eBay provides over two million new auctions, and 250,000 new items every day from which users may choose. What are the benefits of using me to list your items? I am a substitute teacher here in Terrell, TX who is supplementing his income though eBay and other sites. I found it fun and easy to sell my own items for surprisingly pleasing amounts. My next move was to do the same for others! I have gained experience and expertise by selling on eBay for the past years. I have knowledge of HTML (hypertext markup language). HTML is used to create professional eye catching web pages for your auction listing. I can handle as much or as little of the transaction as you would like. Also in comparison to other trading assistants on eBay my fees are low and my services are high! What services does my commission include? Free Initial Consultation Research and reporting of comparative selling prices on similar items (if available). Item pickup within a 25 mile distance from my home Complete inventory of items to be sold Digital photography of items and image editing Detailed item descriptions and multiple photos at no extra charge Uploading and online storage or images for the duration of your auction HTML enhanced auction listings Handle all correspondence with potential buyers Post-auction buyer invoicing and collections Packaging and shipping of sold items I sell and ship worldwide – to gain maximum exposure of your item Who determines the opening bid for my items? You may choose to open with any bid amount you wish. Just keep in mind these two important factors: 1) The insertion fee charged by eBay is calculated on the opening bid amount 2) More interest will be drawn to your auction with a lower opening bid amount. Often the lower opening bid amount brings a higher winning bid Texastreasures.2012 – Registered eBay Trading Assistant texastradingcompany@gmail.com www.texastradingcompany.net Texastreasures.2012 – Registered eBay Trading Assistant texastradingcompany@gmail.com www.texastradingcompany.net When do I pay the listing fees? The cost for the listing and other associated fees can be deducted from the winning bidder's payment if the item sells. My selling fee is 30% of the final selling price. You will receive 70% minus eBay fees. For example: I sold your necklace for $75.00. The eBay fees were $4.95 and my commission is $22.50. I will give you payment of $47.55 along with my detailed statement. If the item does not sell you can pay me for the listing fee when you receive your item back. Why do you have to take possession of my stuff? Due to the fact that eBay holds the Trading Assistant ultimately responsible for any and all auctions listed, all items must be in our possession before listing, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. This allows me to verify each item's description, and ensure that the item is shipped in a timely manner. How do I get my items to you? If you live within 25 miles of my home I will come and pick them up. If you live further you may drop them off or mail them to me. How long does it take to list my items after you receive them? I will have your items listed no later than a week after receiving them. I run my auctions to start and end on certain days of the week that I have found to be more successful. Also if we are choosing to run the auction for 10 days to maximize exposure I usually start the auction on a Friday to be able to include the weekend.. How long does the auction run? Auctions can run for 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 days. I normally run mine for 7, as there is a small extra charge from eBay for the 10 day duration. See the eBay Fees section for details. Do I HAVE to sell my item even for a low price? If you are concerned that your item may not reach and amount that you will be happy to sell it for you may request that a “reserve price” be placed on the auction. If the bidding does not meet this “reserve” then you do NOT have to sell your item. However, you must still pay for the eBay fees incurred for listing the item. When & How do I get paid? After I have received confirmation that the item has been delivered to the winning bidder. I allow a 3 day inspection period of the item. If they are satisfied with the item I will send your payment along with a detailed statement showing all fees and deductions. Texastreasures.2012 – Registered eBay Trading Assistant texastradingcompany@gmail.com www.texastradingcompany.net Texastreasures.2012 – Registered eBay Trading Assistant texastradingcompany@gmail.com www.texastradingcompany.net When & How are items shipped to the high bidder? I allow 10 days to receive the high bidders payment. I do not ship the item until payment has been received. I also give the high bidder several shipping options. I can ship the item via the US Postal Service. I give them rates for both on the auction listing page. Who pays for shipping? The high bidder pays for all shipping and related costs. I state these charges on the auction web page. None of these costs are passed to you and are NOT deducted from the monies you are to receive. What if the buyer receives item damaged? I make every effort to pack and ship items carefully. The high bidder also has the option of purchasing insurance on the item(s). What if my item doesn’t sell? If your item doesn’t sell after the first auction you have the choice of taking the item back and paying the eBay fees, or you can relist it. On the relisting we can discuss any adjustments that could help increase bids. What if the high bidder doesn’t pay? If the high bidder does not pay, the item can be offered to the next highest bidder or we can relist the item. eBay will refund (only) the final value fee on auctions won by a non-paying bidder. What if the buyer wants to return the item? I allow a 3 day inspection period by the high bidder after they have received the item. They must notify me within these 3 days that they are not satisfied and want to return the item. They are to return it to me in the SAME CONDITION and at their own expense. I will refund them the purchase price (less shipping) after I have received the item back and have verified its condition. You then have the option to keep your item or to relist it. eBay Trading Assistants are independent sellers not employees, consultants, or independent contractors of eBay Inc. They are not endorsed or approved by eBay. Texastreasures.2012 – Registered eBay Trading Assistant texastradingcompany@gmail.com www.texastradingcompany.net What are the charges for listing my items?
