Theos has shown it to them. (20) For his invisible attributes,
namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been

remembering you in my prayers, (17) that Ho Theos of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom
and of revelation in the knowledge of him, (18) having the eyes
of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope
to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints, (19) and what is the immeasurable
greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the
working of his great might (20) that he worked in Christ when
he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in
the heavenly places, (21) far above all rule and authority and
power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not
only in this age but also in the one to come. (22) And he put all
things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the
church, (23) which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in

break their pillars and cut down their Asherim (14) (for you

Jealous, is a jealous El), (15) lest you make a covenant with
the inhabitants of the land, and when they whore after their
elohim and sacrifice to their elohim and you are invited, you
eat of his sacrifice, (16) and you take of their daughters for
your sons, and their daughters whore after their elohim and
make your sons whore after their elohim.

ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them; he
shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down
three kings. (25) He shall speak words against the Illay
[Most High], and shall wear out the saints of Elyon [the Most
High], and shall think to change the times and the law; and
they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a

dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed
to the end. (27) And the kingdom and the dominion and the

1Ki 12:28-33 ESV So the king took counsel and made two
calves of gold. And he said to the people, "You have gone up
to Jerusalem long enough. Behold your elohim [gods], O
Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt." (29)
And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. (30)

of the eighth month like the feast that was in Judah, and he
offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing
to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel the
priests of the high places that he had made. (33) He went up
to the altar that he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in
the eighth month, in the month that he had devised from his
own heart. And he instituted a feast for the people of Israel
and went up to the altar to make offerings.

When he had torn Israel from the house of David, they made
Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drove Israel
from following Yehovah and made them commit great sin.
(22) The people of Israel walked in all the sins that Jeroboam
did. They did not depart from them, (23) until Yehovah
removed Israel out of his sight, as he had spoken by all his
servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their own
land to Assyria until this day.

you this trampling of my courts? (13) Bring no more vain
offerings; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and
Sabbath and the calling of convocations-- I cannot endure
iniquity and solemn assembly. (14) Your new moons and
your appointed feasts my soul hates; they have become a
burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. (15) When you
spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even
though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands
are full of blood.

your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

widows in her midst. (26) Her priests have done violence to
my law and have profaned my holy things. They have made
no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have
they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean,
and they have disregarded my Sabbaths, so that I am
profaned among them. (27) Her princes in her midst are like
wolves tearing the prey, shedding blood, destroying lives to
get dishonest gain….
P. 146
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
…(28) And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them,
seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, 'Thus
says Adonay Yehovih [the Lord GOD],' when Yehovah has not
spoken. (29) The people of the land have practiced extortion
and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and
needy, and have extorted from the sojourner without justice.
(30) And I sought for a man among them who should build up
the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I
should not destroy it, but I found none. (31) Therefore I have
poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them
with the fire of my wrath. I have returned their way upon their
heads, declares Adonay Yehovih [the Lord GOD]."
P. 147
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
Eze 24:20-24 ESV Then I said to them, "The word of the
Yehovah came to me: (21) 'Say to the house of Israel, Thus
says Adonay Yehovih [the Lord GOD]: Behold, I will profane
my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your
eyes, and the yearning of your soul, and your sons and your
daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword. (22)
And you shall do as I have done; you shall not cover your lips,
nor eat the bread of men. (23) Your turbans shall be on your
heads and your shoes on your feet; you shall not mourn or
weep, but you shall rot away in your iniquities and groan to
one another. (24) Thus shall Ezekiel be to you a sign;
according to all that he has done you shall do. When this
comes, then you will know that I am Adonay Yehovih [the Lord
GOD].'
P. 148
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
Eze 28:14-16 ESV You were an anointed guardian cherub. I
placed you; you were on the holy mountain of Elohim; in the
midst of the stones of fire you walked. (15) You were
blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till
unrighteousness was found in you. (16) In the abundance of
your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you
sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of
Elohim, and I destroyed you, O guardian cherub, from the
midst of the stones of fire.
P. 149
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
1Ti 1:8-11 ESV Now we know that the law is good, if one
uses it lawfully, (9) understanding this, that the law is not laid
down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the
ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those
who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, (10) the
sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality,
enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to
sound doctrine, (11) in accordance with the gospel of the
glory of the blessed Theos [God] with which I have been
entrusted.
P. 150
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
1Ti 6:20 ESV O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you.
Avoid the irreverent [profane] babble and contradictions of
what is falsely called "knowledge,"
P. 151
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
2Ti 2:14-19 ESV Remind them of these things, and charge
them before Ho Theos [God] not to quarrel about words,
which does no good, but only ruins the hearers. (15) Do your
best to present yourself to Ho Theos [God] as one approved,
a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling
the word of truth. (16) But avoid irreverent [profane] babble,
for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, (17)
and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are
Hymenaeus and Philetus, (18) who have swerved from the
truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened.
They are upsetting the faith of some. (19) But Ho Theos’
[God's] firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: "The Lord
knows those who are his," and, "Let everyone who names the
name of the Lord depart from iniquity."
P. 152
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
Heb 12:15-29 ESV See to it that no one fails to obtain the
grace of Ho Theos [God]; that no "root of bitterness" springs
up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; (16)
that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold
his birthright for a single meal. (17) For you know that
afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was
rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought
it with tears. (18) For you have not come to what may be
touched, a blazing fire and darkness and gloom and a
tempest (19) and the sound of a trumpet and a voice whose
words made the hearers beg that no further messages be
spoken to them. (20) For they could not endure the order
that was given, "If even a beast touches the mountain, it shall
be stoned." (21) Indeed, so terrifying was the sight that
Moses said, "I tremble with fear."…
P. 153
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
…(21) Indeed, so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, "I
tremble with fear." (22) But you have come to Mount Zion
and to the city of the living Theos [God], the heavenly
Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering,
(23) and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in
heaven, and to Theos [God], the judge of all, and to the spirits
of the righteous made perfect, (24) and to Jesus, the
mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that
speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. (25) See that
you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not
escape when they refused him who warned them on earth,
much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from
heaven….
P. 154
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
…(26) At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has
promised, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but
also the heavens." (27) This phrase, "Yet once more,"
indicates the removal of things that are shaken--that is, things
that have been made--in order that the things that cannot be
shaken may remain. (28) Therefore let us be grateful for
receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us
offer to Ho Theos [God] acceptable worship, with reverence
and awe, (29) for our Ho Theos [God] is a consuming fire.
P. 155
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
Lev 19:12 ESV You shall not swear by my name falsely, and
so profane the name of your Elohim: I am Yehovah.
P. 156
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
Rom 1:18-32 ESV For the wrath of Theos [God] is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of
men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. (19)
For what can be known about Ho Theos [God] is plain to
them, because Ho Theos [God] has shown it to them. (20)
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and
divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the
creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So
they are without excuse. (21) For although they knew Ho
Theos [God], they did not honor him as Theos [God] or give
thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and
their foolish hearts were darkened. (22) Claiming to be wise,
they became fools, (23) and exchanged the glory of the
immortal Theos [God] for images resembling mortal man and
birds and animals and creeping things.…
P. 157
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
…(24) Therefore Ho Theos [God] gave them up in the lusts of
their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies
among themselves, (25) because they exchanged the truth
about Ho Theos [God] for a lie and worshiped and served the
creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever!
Amen. (26) For this reason Ho Theos [God] gave them up to
dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural
relations for those that are contrary to nature; (27) and the
men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were
consumed with passion for one another, men committing
shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due
penalty for their error….
P. 158
THE THIRD COMMANDMENT
…(28) And since they did not see fit to acknowledge Ho
Theos [God], Ho Theos [God] gave them up to a debased
mind to do what ought not to be done. (29) They were filled
with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness,
malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit,
maliciousness. They are gossips, (30) slanderers, haters of
God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient
to parents, (31) foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. (32)
Though they know Ho Theos’ [God's] decree that those who
practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but
give approval to those who practice them.
