Corrections
Homework &
Formal Presentations
 Each Homework Problem Set is worth 20 points.
 Each student is randomly assigned a problem to
present for each problem set in every unit.


The problem is graded on accuracy, explanation,
presentation & response to question.
Worth 20 points
 Formal Presentation Rubric
Quizzes
 Similar to problems done for
homework
 1 – 3 questions
 Given after most sections
 10 – 25 points in value
Tests
 Set up like the AP Chemistry Exam
 Multiple Choice & Free Response
Questions – 100 points total
 20 Multiple Choice questions varying in
difficulty (2 points each)
 6 Free Response Questions varying in
difficulty (10 points each) – must show
work and/or give explanation when
required.
 Allowed to fix all or a portion of the test for
half credit which will be entered into the
“Homework” section. This must be done in
school – tests do not get taken home.
Labs
 Approximately 3 - 4 a
marking period
 Done in Lab Notebooks

Guidelines for Keeping a
Lab Journal
 One each marking period
will be a formal lab report

AP Chemistry Lab Reports
Projects
 1 Project each Marking Period
 Some will be group projects, others will
be individual.
 100 points each
 For group projects there is a reflection
piece where each student has to highlight
the contributions of each member of the
