Assignment Scope

Infosys chosen as the partner to design, develop, and deploy a consolidated data-warehouse involving sourcing of information from multiple product processors spanning across mainframe, distributed computing and internet technologies. Consolidation involved using ETL tools such as

Abinitio and delivery of information via web.

This is an strategically Important project to achieve “competitive differentiation” for the client with respect to delivering high-value services to its large and growing private high net worth customers.

Assignment Scope

■ Multiple applications/systems calculate interest on customer balances derived from various securities and foreign exchange transactions leading to repetitive and redundant processing

Existing applications do not calculate interest accurately. Incorrect interest calculation leading to losses due to undercharging of debit interest/fees and overpayment of credit interest/rebate to customers.

Unnecessary operating expense to run and maintain multiple applications.

Critical and complex functionalities like

P & L tracking and allocation to cost centres etc. require manual intervention leading to monetary losses.

Applications are unable to cope with changing business requirements.

Infosys is involved in developing a single consolidated interest system that will provide flexible, accurate and consistent calculations for all types of customer transactions.
