Objective of Case Study Assignment
The case study assignment will allow you to perform the processes in Scope Management
and Time Management knowledge areas of the project planning processes.
You will be working in your existing groups that have been formed for the IE 407 System
Analysis projects (IE 407 Bitirme Projeleri) that you are performing for some companies or
organizations in different industries.
Assignment:
Get guidance from the following 3 documents for preparing your deliverables and the
planning of your project:



Scope Management Plan (from PMdocs)
Work Breakdown Structure (from PMdocs)
Project Management Plan (from PMdocs)
The above are posted on the course web site in the Assignments web page under Project
Planning Documents - Guidance.
For the project you are involved in prepare the following project planning documents:
1. Scope Statement document – Use the Project Scope Statement Template posted on the
course web site in the Assignments web page under Project Planning Documents Guidance.
2. Work Breakdown Structure document
3. Project Schedule document
a. Define Activities and Milestones of the project
b. Sequence the activities and create project network disgram. You may use the
standard AoN diagram.
c. Esimate the resources and duration for each activity. You may use the
standard bar (Gantt) diagram.
d. Determine the Critical Path for your project.
Case Study Deliverables:
The above documents are the deliverables and they are due December 25, 2012.
These will also be essential deliverables for your IE 407 System Analysis projects (IE 407
Bitirme Projeleri).

Also, on December 25, 2012 classes a few select project groups will be asked to present
their work using the same presentations that they will be giving on December 21 2012
for the IE 407 course.
