TAREA 10-50 puntos
Homework will vary from reading, writing, creating projects, worksheets, preparing for debates and charlas etc.
Homework is accepted late only if it is due to an excused absence. It is the responsibility of the student to get
their work into me no later that a week after the excused absence. .
EXAMENES, PROYECTOS Y PRUEBAS Tests and Quizzes. 100-200 puntos
Each unit will have at least one test and one quiz.
Most units will have a project.
Each unit will have some kinds of debate or charla that you will be asked to participate in.
DIARIOS 10 points per entry
You will be completing diario entries in class and for homework. You will be using it more as a diary of thoughts
feelings and ideas as well as for guided prompts.
TRABAJO DE CLASE
Each class is worth 10-20 points. So much of what we do in this class needs to be done in class that you need to
be in class to get a good grade. You are graded for participation in Spanish, engagement and preparedness. If
you are absent you do not receive points for that day. If there are questions of the day and you are absent you
may make up those points by independently obtaining your assignment and turning it in to me after your excused
absence.
PORTFOLIOS
This year we will be creating a Spanish portfolio. You will start keeping assignments and examples of your work to
a folder that will help track your progress and help you reflect on your work and integration of the arts in Spanish
throughout the course of the year. This portfolio presentation will count as 10 percent of your final and 10
percent of your Q4 grade. It will count as your verbal assessment as well as your preparation and collection of
pieces. This portfolio may also be a part of your year en jury.

Assignment




Introduce yourselves in Spanish.
Talk to the people at your table about the topic on the
table and write a brief skit about that topic.
Do not write out the script. You will be improvising.
For example, my table says the house.



Assign roles ie. Mamá y dos hijos
Decide on the plot. Los niños no ayudan a la mamá limpiar.
Mamá dice ¨ Pues, no pueden ir al centro commercial¨
Kids decide to clean and act happy. ¨Ay mami, nos gusta mucho
lavar los platos y organizar mi cuarto¨
