Play opens up with the 3 witches
After the battle the King discusses Macbeth’s warrior skills in the battle
King learns of the Thane of Cawdor’s deception and orders him to be killed/executed
He tells the Noblemen to go and tell Macbeth that he has been granted a new title
The King has granted Macbeth the Title Thane of Cawdor but Macbeth does not know
this yet
Banquo and Macbeth met up with the witches
The witches said to Macbeth that he is the Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and
King hereafter
Banquo was told his kids will become Kings but he will not
Macbeth writes a letter to Lady Macbeth about their prophecies
Lady Macbeth decides to take action and make sure Macbeth becomes King


Lady Macbeth makes a plan to murder the King when he visits
Macbeth questions why he should kill the King
