7th Grade Unit 1 Big Question Vocabulary
Click on the Explore tab. Click on 1 in the Table of Contents, then click on Introducing
the Big Question, then open Vocabulary Central. Use the Vocabulary tab to open the index
cards. In your journal, write the following notes:
awareness—synonyms and antonyms
believable- synonyms (Also, add another synonym: credible.)
conclude – background
convince – synonyms, antonyms, background
debate, n—explanation, synonyms, background
debate, v- synonyms, antonyms, word families
evaluate – take notes on everything, including word families
evidence – explanation, word families, background
factual – explanation
fiction – explanation, synonyms, antonyms, word families
insight – take notes on everything
perceive – take notes on everything
reality – synonyms and antonyms
reveal – explanation and background
When you’re finished taking notes on these vocabulary, you may either play the games, or you
may begin your pretest, which you can find on your home page through the Assignments tab.
