Vocabulary Directions Go to: www.vocabtest.com (or get the link from our class website at: mrsnicolehamilton.weebly.com) Click on “Vocabulary Power Plus for the New SAT – Book One” Click on Lesson 10. (We will study one lesson per week, Lesson 10-15) We will study 15 words per week. You can learn and practice the words by doing the different exercises on the website. I suggest you start by learning the definitions, so go to “Learning Definitions” and/or “Reverse Definitions” first. Note that if you get a question wrong, it asks you the question again later until you get it right! At the end it will show you how many you got right/wrong, etc. It also shows you how most students who take this test do. It asks at the bottom if you want to email the results to anyone – you may want to send them to yourself – it is a list of the words and definitions! But DO NOT send these to me. You may also choose to print this page out as it has the entire list of words for the week with the definitions. When you are done looking at the results, you can click on “Vocab. Test Main” at the top and it will bring you back to the main screen so you can try another test, exercise, or game. Every Friday we will have a quiz on the 15 words for that week. There will be a test on all 45 words from lessons 10-12 on the Friday of Week 4. Then we will spend three weeks on lessons 13-15 and have a test on all 45 words from lessons 13-15 on week 8. Then we are done studying SAT Vocabulary for the semester.
