Optoma Technology GT700 GameTime 3-D Projector w/ Backpack Product Highlights 2600 ANSI Lumens 2500:1 Contrast Ratio (Full On/Full Off) WXGA (1280 x 800) Native Resolution 0.65" DarkChip3 DMD DLP Imaging Chip 3-D Gaming Ready 720p, 1080i, 1080p High Definition NTSC, PAL, SECAM 100 - 240 V AC Autoswitch Power Supply 20 Language On-Screen Display Backpack Carrying Case Included The "GT" in the Optoma GT700 GameTime 3-D Projector w/ Backpack doesn't stand for Gran Turismo as it does in racing cars. But it might as well, because the GT700 is one slick vehicle. The "GT" here stands for GameTime and this projector has been engineered with one overriding idea: to be the best high definition projector in the world for playing PC, Mac and console games. With 2600 ANSI lumens of brightness and an up to 2500:1 contrast ratio, this projector has more than enough projection power to project bright, vivid images when you can't achieve theater level darkness. And its WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution gives you that 16:10 aspect ratio for truly wide-screen games. The Texas Instruments DarkChip3 DMD DLP imager is the heart (and brains) of the GT700. DMD DLP stands or Digital Micromirror Device Digital Light Processor. Those Micromirrors can move so fast (120 times per second) that they can produce two images, one for each eye in the time most systems produce a single image. The result: 3-D games that seem to leap right off the screen at you. You'll have to pick out the 3-D games you want and purchase 3-D compatible glasses and you'll be enjoying the most realistic game play you've ever experienced. (The GT700 cannot be used to display 3-D TV broadcasts or 3-D Blu-ray discs.) When you're not playing games you can enjoy TV with images up to 25 feet across measure diagonally, if you've got the room. And those images can be in 720p, 1080i or 1080p high definition. As much as it was designed to be the best 3-D gamer this projector was designed to move. It can handle all of the world's TV standards: NTSC, PAL and SECAM. In addition to being multi-standard it also has a 100 – 240 V AC 50/60 Hz autoswitching power supply and it has a 20 language OSD (on-screen display). And just to make gaming on the move as easy as possible your GT700 even includes its own backpack carrying case. 2600 ANSI Lumens and a 2500:1 Contrast Ratio The GT700 has the projection power to create a large image in a large room, even against a fair amount of ambient light. Your games and high definition TV images are guaranteed to be vibrant even in the brightest viewing environment. Single 0.65 Inch Texas Instruments DLP DMD With DarkChip2 Technology Texas Instrument's Digital Light Processor chips are regarded by many as the best projector light engines (the part that creates the image) available. They produce beautiful life-like images even if there's ambient light in the room. Plus they don't require filters that have to be cleaned and replaced saving you time and money over other designs. Made For 3-D Gaming Your GT700 is a fine projector for conventional or high definition signals from cable, satellite, terrestrial, DVD and Blu-ray signals. But it can go full 3-D with PC and console games. You just add games, console or PC and 3-D glasses and you'll be gaming in widescreen 3-D. Note: the GT700 is not compatible with 3-D broadcasts or 3-D Blu-ray discs. Internationally Operational Your GT700 has a 100 – 240 V AC, auto switching power supply and the ability to accept and project video in the NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL B, D, G, H, I, M, N and SECAM B, D, G, K, K1, L standards. In addition to its native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution your GT700 can sync with more than a score of other PC and Macintosh resolutions. And its on-screen display offers a choice of 20 languages making this projector a great choice no matter where in the world you are. Comes With Its Own Backpack Carrying Case With a projector this cool you're sure to want to share it with friends. When they can't come to visit you, pack it all up and bring it to them. Energy Saving Features Save Money and the Environment In Bright mode lamp life is estimated at 3000 hours but noise level is a whisper-quiet 31 dB. Switch to STD (standard) mode and estimated lamp life soars to 5000 hours while fan noise drops to (an almost literally unheard of) 29 dB. Overall power consumption drops about 8.5 percent from 255 Watts to 233 Watts. In standby mode the projector draws less than a single watt. Security Features Secure Your Investment You'd expect such a valuable asset to be protected by multiple security measures and you'd be right. You can password protect the keypad so only the remote will work. You can also physically secure it with an optional Kensington security lock or a steel cable (not included) threaded through its security bar. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/680905-REG/Optoma_Technology_GT_700_GT700_GameTime_3_D_Projector.html#features Written by Tom Wrona. © B&H Photo Video
